Country Action grant scheme

These grants increase the capacity of grassroots sport and recreation organisations in regional and rural Victoria.

Funding will be provided for one of the following project types:

• Initiatives that help organisations operate more effectively.
• Funding for attendance at relevant training courses.
• Initiatives to help organisations provide accessible sport and active recreation opportunities for members of the local community.

Eligibility

Clubs, organisations and community groups who deliver sport and active recreation in rural and regional Victoria.

Funding range of grant

Up to $5,000

Open Dates

24 October 2007 to 16 April 2009
This program is open for applications on an ongoing basis and has four application phases. Please refer to the guidelines for details. The closing date for applications for projects starting in the second half of 2008 has been extended until 18 April 2008.
