Community Facility Funding Program – Minor Facilities
The Community Facility Funding Program contributes to the provision of high-quality and accessible community sport and recreation facilities across Victoria. Building Community Infrastructure provides grants to improve places where communities meet and interact. Applications under the Minor Facilities category are available for community groups, working in partnership with council, to develop or upgrade community sport and recreation facilities.
Eligibility
Only councils are eligible to apply directly to the Department of Planning and Community Development for funding for this program. However, community organisations have the opportunity to access funds by submitting their application directly to their local council and not to the Department of Planning and Community Development.
Funding range of grant
Maximum grant of $60,000 towards projects with a total cost of $250,000 or less (exclusive of GST)
Open Dates
1July 2009 to 17 September 2009
Local sporting clubs and organisations are required to submit their project proposals directly to their councils. It is imperative that community organisations contact their local council to find out the closing date for applications to council.
