Frequently Asked Questions
What types of grants are there?
This website includes information about the grant programs delivered by the Department of Planning and Community Development. There are grants available to individuals, groups and organisations for a wide range of purposes, from personal skills development to substantial infrastructure projects. Some grants are only available to specific groups, such as Councils or state sporting associations, and others require applicants to have a certain status (being an incorporated body, for example). The information and application section for each grant explains the purpose of the program and who is eligible to apply.
You should also read the information on the grants homepage to understand what the Department is trying to achieve through these grant programs.
Who can apply?
Each grant included in this website has its own eligibility criteria and application process. This information is detailed in the information, advice and application forms for each grant.
When do I need to apply?
The timing of any grant application is dependent on the progress cycle appropriate to each grant. These can be annual, multiple funding rounds in a year, or open all year and details are in the application forms for each grant.
Can I get help to make a grant application?
